May 5th 2010 was my last entry here, it seems both longer and less long ago. Longer because such a lot has happened in the mean time, less long because, in some way dA has never been far from my mind. I kept wanting to come back, but for some reason I didn't. One of the reasons is simple, though, lack of a way to upload images directly through Lightroom. I switched to LR when it was still in it's original beat and loved it from the moment I laid eyes on it. Since then it's gone from strength to strength and I'm currently happily playing around with the LR4 beta. Shortly after I stared using it I bumped into Jeffrey Friedl's website and found

So yeah, time flies. I'm still working on a backlog of images, but have reached early 2009 today. More and irregular updates will follow. And many thanks for the comments and the favourites you've been handing out in my absence. :hug:

Nikon came back with the message telling me it would take €650 to repair the 18-200mm VR, so I added another €150 and got myself the 18-200mm VR II. This one has at least lost the annoying habit of it's predecessor to extend the zoom lens as soon as you pointed the camera downwards. I'm still working on my UK shots, but should have some up for sharing in a couple weeks (months?) and I think I want to put up one or two more Annecy pictures. One other thing I might put up are a few shots taken while hunting elephants in Amsterdam.
