Description

This shot was taken shortly after sunrise in Varanasi, possible the most Indian city of India. It was later scanned from the slide original, and sadly lost some quality.

Varanasi

A labyrinth of streets and alleys
Leads me down to Mother Ganga
Where bright gold silk burns
Over bodies wrapped in flames
Where ash scatters in the winds
Half rotten bones lie on the river banks


I hope to add some more pictures that I took while travelling.

:wow: India... Always wanted to visit that country. Perhaps I'll go there one day... :+fav:

About the quality it isn't that bad. I did some scanning as well and got the tip to use NeatImage to clean up the scans. This worked great for the pictures scanned with the flat-scanner, using a negative scanner it didn't work. It's free so you might wanna give it a try :D
