A foggy morning

Thu Oct 6, 2005, 11:13 AM
It was quiet this morning, quiet and hazy. The kind of haze that suggests the day is going to be crips bust sunny. Well, that suggestion was wrong, as it took until late afternoon before the fog which had followed on the haze's heels, finally lifted.
Then indeed it was crisp and sunny.

Work's keeping me kinda busy these days, so I have to apologise for not getting back to people as quickly as I'd like. I'm afraid the hectivity will last into the next year, so please bear with me?

I also got a bit of a disappointment the other day when I saw the camera I bought three weeks earlier on sale in another shop for about 3/5 of the price I paid. Not to mention they threw in an extra Nikon 70-200mm lense.
Most annoying...

Bit of a pain about your camera - but that's the way the cookie always seems to crumble

Yeah, but I would have preferred to wait three months, rather than three weeks for it to do so ;)

Oh noooooo!

I make a point of avoiding camera shops/ gadget places after I buy new stuff just because you always find a better deal! Sometimes you just have to leap in there and get your gadgets NOW!

Hope work does'nt keep you too busy.....gotta have a life =) Speaking of having a life I really must try to get home this month!

Seems I wasn't as unlucky as I thought. A friend of mine told me the lense alone was worth the difference (the other kits had much inferior lenses).
Still love my toy :)

Yikes! I think I'd take the camera back to where I bought it, telling them I didn't think it was what I wanted after all...then run over to the other place with my money in my fist! ;)

They kinda don't accept that kind of argument after having used it for three or more weeks ;)

:hmm: "the metering system isn't functioning properly" (& produce a few pics that are nearly black) ...or... "My relative just died & left me his, so I don't need two of the same camera" :giggle:

We're very...old fashioned concerning once you buy it it's yours (unless you find something seriously wrong with it).
Which in my case there isn't. I do appreciate the suggestions, though :D

I'd never be able to do it myself but my ex-boss's wife was a 'pro' at it. I could never understand how she could barefaced lie to the vendors & get them to take stuff back, even after a year!
