It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Back from holidays and new gear

So we spent three weeks in a cottage in the Cotswolds, just outside the town of Painswick. The weather was, well, English. Apart from frost and snow, the weather ran the whole gamut. This made for a challenge in getting pretty pictures all the time. The other challenge was made by the fact that I dropped my D70 from the car roof to the ground. It bounced on the lens hood and spilled a piece or two of the lens. Much to my surprise it still worked. I did lose the VR and the lower 10mm of the 18-200mm lens but apart from that, it was fine. You can probably guess how much of a relief that was.
All in all I came home with some 2,800 pictures and sent the lens off to Nikon for repairs. Now I'm busy organising the pictures and figuring out which ones I like enough to share.

Meanwhile I've (almost) passed 30,000 shots on the camera and was pondering to upgrade to the D300 upgrade next Summer or so. I've since found out that won't be a D400, but a D300s and that it was likely to cost 800-1000 euros more than the D300. Took me about a week and a half to decide I'd better buy the D300 now and save me some money in the (near) future.
So, yes, I bought the puppy last Saturday and took it out shooting last Sunday. So far I'm pretty happy with it. Samples will follow.

I'd also promised myself a computer upgrade before we left on our holidays. There's now something big and black and fast on my desktop, sporting an i7 processor and a bunch of memory. Should help Lightroom doing it's job a bit quicker...
