Christmas rapidly approaching

Fri Dec 16, 2005, 10:39 AM
Another week of work and it's Christmas.

A weird time of year. Cold, dark, wet and windy, but filled with little lights. And there seem to be more of them each year (not just that, they tend to get bigger too). I'm carrying the C995 around seeing if I can catch the spirit, but being limited to the hours before sunrise and those after sunset (I'm beginning to feel a craving for blood coming up) they tend to somewhat dark (but with lots of lights). I'll see if I can upload some once I find the ones I like.

I di dbuy myself an early Christmas present: Adobe Photoshop CS2 and hope to spend some time with it the last week of the year. I decided I deserved some timeoff, and that week is going to be it. Hopefully I'll be able to work through my watch backlog too...

Meanwhile I'll be uploading some more (Summer/Autumn) streetshots.

I think...I'm okay with all presents, this time round. I started collecting them early this year, like... January ;)
It seems people put up more and more and more christmas lights each year, which definitely looks nice (if sometimes a little garish).

Cheers!

Tonight, I went out taking pics of the Christmas lights...without a tripod, but surprisingly, some turned out! The object was merely to enjoy the snow & displays, so to have gotten ANY worthwhile photos was a bonus :D Good luck with that backlog ;)

Looking forward to see those. :) You may want to bring a beanbag next time you're out. They're easier to carry around and need less of a flaty surface to work.

I've had to graduate to a backpack...the purse was too small to add a camera as well as all the books & junk :lmao:

Hehehe. I lug a bagpack around most of the time. Smallish one, 20 liters or so. Food, drink, books...
