Devious Journal Entry

Sat Dec 3, 2005, 7:44 AM

It seems only yesterday when I dropped in here last and it's already December. The Netherlands is preparing for Sinterklaas (Saint Nick) that old fest for bright-eyed, greedy kids  (not to mention quite a few similar minded adults). I blame work both real and virtual which is eating away my few spare moments, and it doesn't seem like it will let up any time soon.

The weather here's fairly typical Dutch fall/winter weather, or rather wetter ;) and it's good to be inside. We had some serious rain last week, which caused our garden to flood again. The again, maybe we were lucky, as that same rain turned into inches of snow in the East  of the country, causing a roughly estimated 20 million in damages.

It's not really weather for taking pictures, as I leave from and get home in darkness. I do get the occasionaly sunrise/sunset shot, but people...most seem to be hiding.

Oh, I decided to go and save up for a full-fledged version of Adobe Photoshop. I probably won't wait submitting anything before I get my grubby little fingers on it though :)

Have you not tried writing a letter to Sinterklaas asking for photoshop and a S4!

Try not to work too hard, it still nice and warm in southern china

No, though I was hoping that she get the hint & give ME some for a change, now that she has a job ;)
I used to go to the local german delicatessan for the Niklaus Abend goodies & they had wonderful marzipans, chocolate figures & letters. They were quite expensive though.

Actually, so did we, but not in my part of the country. I'm sure you had (and will get more) that we did though ;)
