The clocks went back this weekend. At least they did here in Europe, signalling the end of Summer as we move back into winter time. Already night has fallen outside, but the day...was nothing like the winter.
It was sunny, bright blue skies, temperatures close to 20C. My girlfriend and I took our bicycles and our cameras and cycled to a nearby country estate, known as Elswout. We spend a lovely day, walking around outside in the gardens landscaped by Zocher and took pictures. It was warm enough to simply go around in shirt sleeves. Strange, but who am I to say no to that kind of weather.
We ended up drinking rose and having a meal at a nearby pub, with the intriguing name: The Kennermland Arms, formerly known as The Stinking Bucket.
